Our ongoing programs are those that occur every week or on another regularly scheduled basis. For monthly and special programs, look at our event calendar or follow us on Facebook or Instagram. Fall programming typically runs from September through December with a break around the holidays. Winter/Spring programming runs from January through May and typically takes a break during vacation weeks. Summer Reading programming is held in June, July and August.

While each program is designed for a specific age group, younger or older siblings are welcome to join unless registration is required for a specific age group or programs indicate they are for a tween age group. Exact details for each program can be found in the event listings on our event calendar. If you have any questions about a program, feel free to email Miss Macy at mdavis@sailsinc.org

Early Childhood Programs

Held Mondays at 10:30 AM, lapsit storytime is designed for babies and toddlers ages 0 to 24 months. The focus of this program is on active caregiver participation and building caregiver familiarity with early literacy skills. We use the same songs, rhymes, and bounces for 6 to 8 weeks.

Family storytime is designed for ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Storytime is held on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM and focuses on the five early literacy skills: reading, writing, singing, talking, and playing. These skills are highlighted in songs, stories, rhymes, movement activities, and more. We use flannel boards, egg shakers, scarves, rhythm sticks, and puppets regularly!

Messy Morning is our sensory art program for toddlers and preschoolers ages 2-5. This program is held on Thursday mornings at 10:30 AM. We provide aprons, but encourage participants to dress for a mess. Some past projects include dot painting, ice painting, playdough, and puffy painting.
